“It’s All About Love” – Loving God and Loving Others
At Vincent Church, we believe that God is love. And God loved the world so much, that God sent Jesus to show us that love by his life, his teaching, and his death and resurrection for us. When we look at who Jesus was and what Jesus taught, it all comes down to a vertical love of God and a horizontal hove of others. Together, they form the cross – the ultimate sign of love.
In fact, when Jesus was asked which commandment was the greatest of all, Jesus says
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. And you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:36-39)
So we seek to grow as Christians and as a congregation in loving God with all our being and to love others with open hearts and open hands as Jesus has loved us.
